What I Deserve

 

Time again for dear-old-sister’s chuckle of the month. Sentiment “maybe someday I’ll finally get what I deserve, but I hope not” is from a Garfield cartoon. Image and thought bubbles were found online. After printing the sentiment I fussy cut bubbles and image. Oval is Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals, embossed border is Cuttlebug embossing borders. There are 5 different borders in the package. Normally I don’t emboss the card base nor the inside but I think it works well on this card.

Hello and welcome. That time again, DOS chuckle of the month. Ef used is Zig Zag by Stampin Up, circle is Spellbinders classic circles, ovals are Stampin Up punches. After finding the sentiment online I searched for just the right clip art image. Inside says “I feel 10 years older already.” Dear-old-sister liked it.

Hello and welcome. Remembering how much my daughter and her friends used to love playing with Strawberry Shortcake Dolls I thought I could fit that into the current Double D challenge. So, this will be entered in the challenge then sent to my daughter. It’s about time I send her a ‘just because’ card.

Background paper was found online, and Strawberry Shortcake and strawberries are from online coloring pages. Images were colored with Copic’s and fussy cut. The idea for a lattice card came when I looked at the last lattice card I made. I hope this will bring fond memories to my daughter.

Don't Need Google

Time again for dear old sister's chuckle of the month. Hubby told me about a sentiment he'd seen on a t-shirt "I don't need Google... My wife knows everything." He suggested I change it to my husband knows everything for a d-o-s chuckle card. She loved it and agreed with me that my hubby actually believes it. Embossing folder used is from Stampin Up, image is computer clip art, frame is Stitched Ovals by Di-namics.

Pocket Change

 

Hello and welcome. It feels so good to have the COVID symptoms pretty much gone and getting back to creating.

Today's card is for our grandson who just moved from his parents' home to his own apartment. We figured he could use a little cash getting set up. Actually, there will be more than $1 in there. lol

The pocket is computer clip art that I printed on in my Hallmark card program then fussy cut. Background piece was run through a stripes ef by The Paper Studio then I lightly sponged Night of Navy stamp pad so it wasn't such a stark white. Corner grommets are from my stash. I haven't used grommets for so long I forgot I even had them.

Stripes and Circles

 

Hello and welcome. Today’s card, actually I made 2, are just because cards for our 2 kids. We usually send them a Valentine with little cash so they can enjoy a nice ‘romantic’ dinner. Well, this year we didn’t so they will be getting a just because card so they can enjoy a just because dinner.

All pp is from my stash. I decided to run the background piece through a Sizzix ef. I never embossed pp before but I kind of like it. Circle dies used are Stitched Circles from Die-namics. Red strip was run the Tiny Bubbles ef by Cuttlebug.
